If you’re ready for a new challenge and want to make a real difference, this could be the opportunity for you.

The lifeboat crew at Brighton RNLI are all volunteers, supported by a dedicated team of launch authorities, shore crew, fundraisers, shop volunteers, and water safety advisors. Together, they provide a 24/7 search and rescue service covering the coastline between Newhaven and Shoreham.

You don’t need a maritime background to join the crew – full training is provided both at the station and through the RNLI’s national Competency-Based Training Scheme.

Volunteers come from all walks of life, and if you’re over 18 years old, live or work within 15 minutes of the station, and are physically fit, you could be part of the team.
