Fowey lifeboat launched to yacht taking on water
On Monday 3 March at 4:29pm the coastguard requested Fowey crew launch to locate and assess a 24’ Cornish Crabber with engine failure that had broken down 0.4Nm off Pencarrow Head, with no wind.
Fowey’s volunteer crew launched the lifeboat at 4:40pm. As the lifeboat was leaving Fowey Harbour the people onboard the boat confirmed they had managed to start the engine but still had issues with it. A lifeboat crew member was put on board to assist the boat, and the lifeboat escorted the boat to the pontoon, where the awaiting shore crew assisted with mooring of the boat.
