The inshore lifeboat from Penlee Lifeboat had also been tasked along with the Coastguard Helicopter 924.

The lifeboat made an immediate passage for Polurrian Cove, however at 11.35am we and all other services were stood down as it had been confirmed that the casualty was in the hands of the attending HM Coastguard teams on the shore.

Our crew were able to complete their exercise and returned to station shortly after 12 noon where the lifeboat was rehoused, refuelled and made ready for service again when required by 1pm.
