RNLI on the lookout for lifeguards on Lincolnshire coast ahead of 2025 season
Fancy becoming a lifeguard on the Lincolnshire coast this summer? The RNLI is looking for lifeguards to join them for the 2025 season, on beaches in Skegness, Sutton on Sea and Mablethorpe.
Can you swim 400m in under 7½ minutes, run 200m under 40 seconds on a beach or swim 25 meters in 50 seconds? And do you enjoy spending time on the beach keeping people safe all summer long? Joining the RNLI as a lifeguard may be the perfect summer job for you!
The roles last for the summer season, but many lifeguards use the comprehensive training as stepping stone into a career in emergency or public services. RNLI lifeguards support the charity’s aim to keep people safe and to prevent them from getting into danger. Successful applicants will receive world class training in search and rescue, lifesaving and casualty care techniques, as well as boosting their CVs with invaluable skills that will impress future employers.
RNLI Lifeguard Supervisor, Arun Gray, said: ‘It's a great summer job where you spend your time outside in the sun, genuinely saving lives and learning skills that are transferable to a range of different careers. We've had lifeguards go on to work in the ambulance service, teaching and even working overseas.
'All training is provided so all we ask is that you're keen to learn, want to help keep people safe and be a part of a friendly, professional team’
Applicants need to be aged 16 or over on the day of their assessment, hold a National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Qualification (NVBLQ), and meet our criteria.
If you would like to have the incredible opportunity to call the beach your office while supporting the charity in saving lives at sea and making sure the public enjoy the beach in the safest way possible, more information is available from the requirements page https://lifesavingjobs.rnli.org/become-a-lifeguard/requirements-and-training
