With the tide rising the crew made good speed to the popular location. On arrival they were able to locate the two teenaged casualties. With the St Agnes Coastguard cliff rescue team also on location, the pair were able to scramble to safety and the lifeboat was stood down.

On returning to station the lifeboat was refueled and ready for service at 5:21pm.

Head Launcher and veteran volunteer at St Agnes RNLI, Dave Ruse commented,

“Even if you have checked tide times, it’s important to remain vigilant. With shifting sands and changing weather conditions, tidal movements can be unpredictable.”
