First callout of 2025 for Troon RNLI lifeboat volunteers
With no callouts in January, at 1.48am on Saturday 1 February 2025, the lifeboat crew pagers were activated by Belfast Coastguard for the first callout of 2025 to assist with an incident south of Lochgoilhead.
Whilst the lifeboat was on route, the crew were informed by Belfast Coastguard that the lifeboat was no longer required as they incident had been resolved without the additional assistance of the all-weather lifeboat.
With this information, the crew were able to return to the station where the all-weather lifeboat was made ‘ready for service’ with the assistance of the shore crew
