It was a beautiful crisp morning with clear blue skies and temperatures promising to reach 8◦c! Many brave, cheerful souls turned up to swim in the bay, some swimmers even completed the 600 meter swim around the full course.

Barbara Polly BYC was delighted with the number of swimmers who participated. The event was very well organised, with hot drinks offered to all swimmers in the Jubilee room afterwards.

The RNLI B class lifeboat Ruby Robinson was in attendance manned by James Gillespie, Kyle Marshall, Ewan Scott and Lee Mercer. Shore crew were Davey Eccles, Tommy Burns, Kevin Byres, Bryan Lawther and Dennis Thurley.

Bangor RNLI would like to say a huge thank you to all concerned for making this event a great success.
