The final stall of 2025, sited in Witney Market on 13 December, raised £240, taking the total for the year to £5,745.

Chair Dave Thompson said: "It's an excellent figure and thanks go to everyone for such great support during the year. Looking forward already to 2026!"

Witney Market is much bigger these days and a steady footfall on a sunny but chilly day produced a healthy sum, especially as the market itself closes around 3pm in winter.

Dave said: "Special thanks to Dave North and John Makeham for running the stall and also keen supporter Helen Benton whose fabulous knitwear made close to £40 on the day."
