On 16 December George Reddell went on to pass his Tier 2 to become a full crew member. Jon Church was unable to attend this assessment owing to work. But the station is hoping to re-arrange his assessment for the New Year.

George Reddell said, ‘It’s a great achievement and I’m so grateful for the training and support I received from the whole team. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at Happisburgh RNLI and I’m very proud to be part of the team.’

On Saturday 13 December the station was dressed for Christmas to welcome the community to a festive celebration with sea shanties and sing-along with songs of the sea, with Pot of Gold Shanty Crew and the children of Happisburgh school. More than 100 people filled the boat hall. They enjoyed a few hours of singing with refreshments and hot drinks. The evening raised £570 with sales in our shop on top of that.

Happisburgh is proud to be One Crew all working in different ways to achieve the same aim to Save Lives at Sea, along with educating the public to know how to be safe around all water and know how to call for help.

The whole station would like to thank all the people who support the station and wish them a Merry Christmas and happy and healthy New Year. We look forward to seeing you all again in 2026.

Please Note the Station will be doing Christmas tree recycling again this year for a donation. RNLI Happisburgh Lifeboat are holding Drop Off Days for your unwanted trees 9am to 10am Sunday 28 December, 4 January 2026 and 11 January 2026. Cart Gap Happisburgh NR12 0QL
