A Massive Thank you from Queensferry RNLI Lifeboat Station Volunteers!
On Thursday 27th November the annual Christmas in Queensferry Christmas Light switch-on took place on Queensferry High Street.
There was a festive atmosphere on Queensferry High Street on the night of Thursday 27th November, with Santa arriving on his Sleigh to the sounds of Queensferry Community Brass Band, Queensferry Pipes and Drums and singing from local School Choirs. To add to the festivities, Queensferry RNLI Lifeboat Volunteers hosted their annual stall selling mulled wine, mince pies and other festive treats. Spectators were also treated to displays by the Central Scotland Ballet School and a dazzling laser show as the High Street lights were switched on for the 2025 Christmas season.
A merry time was had by all, many mince pies were munched and the mulled wine kept flowing, raising a massive £900 in aid of Queensferry RNLI Lifeboat Station. Helen, Queensferry RNLI Volunteer Fundraising Lead, says ‘A big thank you to everyone that came down and supported our stall, it is great to see Queensferry looking so festive and the community coming together to support a good cause.’ She added, ‘Annual fundraisers like this are vital to raise funds to support provision of vital lifesaving equipment and training for our volunteer crews as they continue their life saving work through the coldest months.’
