Hastings RNLI welcomes donation from Hastings Carnival
Hastings RNLI volunteers were presented with a cheque from the Hastings Old Town Carnival Association at their ‘donations evening’ on Sunday 30 November.
The cheque was accepted by Hastings RNLI Fundraising Group Lead Bob Morrison, who said, 'My colleagues at the lifeboat station and I really appreciate the support given to us each year by Hastings Old Town Carnival.
"Like the carnival, we couldn’t do what we do without our volunteers who are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are a totally independent charity and rely on public donations such as this to maintain our life-saving boats and equipment.
"We are very grateful to the generosity of local people and organisations such as Hastings Old Town Carnival to keep us going.
"On behalf of all our volunteers, thank you."
