ART IN THE ATTIC

Lifeboats News Release

Art in the Attic fundraiser has dusted off some truly fabulous art to sell for the RNLI.

Beer Village, Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October 2024

Four ladies from Beer village are raising funds for the RNLI with an exhibition and sale of art in the Beer Sailing Club that has come from attics and under beds, but is too good to simply give away.

The call for art has attracted oils, watercolours and prints galore with the subjects being varied, but seascapes and nudes will feature predominantly. Many of the nudes have come from the private collection of renowned sculptor, Therese Theodas, and have been generously donated to support this worthy cause. But there are original gems that are exciting the team and will excite visitors too!

The exhibition and sale is being held between 11am and 4pm on October 5th and 6th at the Beer Sailing Club who have kindly waived their usual rental fees. All are warmly welcomed and there will be refreshments plus the bar will be open from midday.

Wendy Cummins from the Beer and Seaton RNLI fundraising team says “We thank you for thinking of the RNLI in our 200th year and hope that everyone that can, will support this great idea!”.
