The lifeboat, Dr. Barbara Saunderson, was launched at 3.11pm heading towards the scene. As the lifeboat made its way to the location, the Launch Authority at Llandudno decided to deploy the all-weather lifeboat, William F Yates as additional support due to the challenging conditions.

Just as the inshore lifeboat approached the area, the coastguard reported that the jet ski occupant had successfully reached safety. Both lifeboats were then stood down and returned to station.

An RNLI spokesperson commented on the incident, saying:

‘This callout highlights the unpredictability of the sea, especially in challenging weather conditions. Our crews responded swiftly and were prepared for a potentially serious situation. Thankfully, the individual managed to reach safety before we arrived, but we’re always ready to assist when needed.’
