Kirkcudbright RNLI called out to capsized dinghy
The volunteer crew of Kirkcudbright RNLI lifeboat launched today (Thursday 5 September) at 3.25pm.
The volunteer crew at Kirkcudbright RNLI Lifeboat Station were tasked by HM Coastguard to provide assistance to a capsized Laser dinghy with one person in the water, south of Ardwall Island.
Upon arrival, Kirkcudbright RNLI found that Fleet Bay inshore rescue boat had recovered the casualty from the water. The lifeboat crew provided assistance and took the dinghy back to the beach.
Kirkcudbright RNLI lifeboat then returned to station to be made ready for next service.
