Belinda and James, a retired couple from London, are driving clockwise around the whole of the British Isles and Ireland visiting all 238 RNLI Lifeboat Stations in 911 hours!

Unfortunately due to a late night callout for our D class, only a few lifeboat crew members were able to attend today.

Troon RNLI Lifeboat Operations Manager Jim Redmond said, ‘It was a great pleasure to meet James and Belinda and everyone at Troon lifeboat station wishes them all the best on the rest of their latest challenge.’

After starting at Morecambe lifeboat station on 23 August 2024 they aim to complete their challenge at Peel lifeboat station on the Isle of Man on 30 September 2024 raising money for a new RNLI D class inshore lifeboat in celebration of 200 years of the RNLI.
