A tasty invitation - Happisburgh RNLI is holding a Mince Pie Event

The volunteers at Happisburgh RNLI are inviting people to join them for their Mince pie Event on Saturday 9 November between 10am and 3pm.

It will be taking place at the lifeboat station on Cart Gap Road.

The event is being held to raise funds for the RNLI so that the volunteers can continue their lifesaving work.

As well as mince pies and other edible goodies, there will be the opportunity to buy a selection of the charity's Christmas cards, calendars and stocking fillers.

The RNLI charity saves lives at sea. Its volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts. The RNLI operates 238 lifeboat stations in the UK and Ireland and more than 240 lifeguard units on beaches around the UK and Channel Islands. The RNLI is independent of Coastguard and government and depends on voluntary donations and legacies to maintain its rescue service. Since the RNLI was founded in 1824, its lifeboat crews and lifeguards have saved over 146,000 lives.
