Fish and chip supper

Those who attended were treated to a good size helping of fish and chips which were provided by Margam Road Fish Bar who have been supporting our fish and chip evenings for many years They were then served by the station's dedicated and friendly Fundraising team. An endless supply of tea and coffee was readily available throughout the evening.

The night didn't end with the fish and chips, the crowd were treated to a performance by the Kool Hand Ukes a Neath based Ukulele band, this was followed by a few games of Stand up bingo and of course no fundraiser would be completed without a raffle.

The evening was a resounding fundraising success with £566. Thanks to all who came and supported us. Fundraising Chair Sue Summerfield said ‘without the support of the local community such events couldn’t take place and we appreciate all the support we receive’.

As a charity we rely on voluntary donations to power our lifesaving work- as we have done for 200 years. Taking part in an organised event such as our fish and chip supper allows us to look forward to the next 200 years of saving lives- working towards a world where nobody drowns.
