Fundraisers and Chiswick Crew with the Scroll

Chiswick Commander Mark Finnis and volunteer Chris Averill held the scroll as fundraising and RNLI representatives signed. On the scroll is the RNLI’s One Crew pledge, in which we promise to continue saving every one we can for the next 200 years and counting.

The scroll has travelled throughout the UK and Ireland visiting RNLI communities far and wide during 2024. By passing this pledge from one incredible community to the next, we hope to inspire the next generation of lifesavers.

The signatories on 9 October 2024 were:

Caren Buchanan - City of London Committee Vice Chair (Fundraising

Carol Toogood - Chair of the Central London Committee (Fundraising)

Libby Bradshaw - Clapham, Battersea & Wandsworth RNLI (Fundraising)

Faye Stammers - Young Person’s Network
