Arklow based ASL Safety & Training Group continues its support for RNLI
ASL Safety & Training Group is an Arklow headquartered company with training centres in Belfast, Dublin, Arklow and Wexford, which provides safety consultancy and training across all sectors including offshore renewables and marine.
Like many other local, national and international companies and individuals around Arklow, ASL have made a sizeable donation to the new lifeboat appeal.
Mark Corcoran, Managing Director at ASL and Arklow RNLI Volunteer Lifeboat Press Officer said: 'We were delighted to continue our support for Arklow RNLI, the arrival of this new lifeboat in Arklow is a hugely historic moment in all of our lives. Our company works across all sectors providing safety and environmental consulting and training. We deal first hand with incidents and accidents in workplaces both on and offshore and witness the effects when these incidents happen. To be able to provide support for such an amazing service is something we are immensely proud of, we feel strongly that the ongoing support gives ours and companies like ours the ability to provide some community wide benefit.
'If it wasn’t for the quick acting RNLI volunteers in Clogherhead, we might have lost my own brother in a kayaking incident a few years back, my own family know the real life value of having such a professional, dedicated lifesaving service, doing what I do as a volunteer lifeboat press officer and community safety officer is my own way of giving something back to the wider community.'
To help welcome Arklow's new lifeboat, all at the station would love to see as many people as possible at the lifeboat station for 1pm this Sunday, 13 October.
