Berwick-upon-Tweed RNLI at Remembrance Day Parades
'Lest We Forget', the lifeboat crew assembled outside St Andrew's Church of Scotland to take part in the church service, led by the Reverend Dr Adam Hood and Reverend Lyn Phillips.
After the church service the crew fell into line to march up to the War Memorial Castlegate Berwick, for the, ‘Call to Remembrance’. The parade was led by the British legion Pipe Band and followed other local organisations associated with the town.
Afterwards the RNLI crew marched along Berwick High Street, where the King's representative Lord Joicey and Town Mayor John Robertson took the salute on the Town Hall steps.
After a brief interval, the RNLI crew re-assembled once again at the Spittal War Memorial, along the street from Berwick-upon-Tweed lifeboat station.
Here with the Civic Party, H M Coastguard, local villagers, school children, Scouts and Beavers and Brownies, all paid their respects for the villagers who gave their lives in the conflict of war.
