RNLI Clacton called out to stricken vessel

The volunteer crew launched their Atlantic 85 B-Class Lifeboat ‘David Porter MPS’ into slight sea state but with good visibility and headed to the last reported location approximately 1/2knm off Whitaker Bell.

Upon arrival at the location the volunteer crew checked on the welfare of the 3 persons aboard, and when found to be safe and well, a tow was established. The crew towed the vessel back to Brightlingsea harbour, where it was safely moored and Clacton Response Team (CRT) took over from our crews to offer support and advice.

The crew were then stood down and returned to the lifeboat station where the boat was cleaned, refuelled and back on service by 3.30pm.
