Beaumaris Lifeboat volunteers tasked to a vessel aground near the Menai Bridge
At 9.23 am on Saturday 9 March 2024 the volunteer crew members of the Beaumaris lifeboat received a page from H.M. Coastguard relating to a report of a vessel seen aground opposite Menai Bridge pier.
As it was suspected that the craft seen was in fact a derelict. The Beaumaris Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat Annette Mary Liddington with her volunteer crew was placed on immediate readiness to launch, whilst the local mobile coastguard team investigated from the shore.
At 9.48 am the lifeboat was stood down once the reported boat was confirmed to be the derelict craft.
Once this has been established the crew secured the lifeboat and left the station.
