TV personality Jules escapes to open Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat week
Lifeboat week in Lyme Regis - the annual event which has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for the lifesaving RNLI charity since the 1970's - comes to town again this year on 27 July.
The first day will also feature attractions including a welcome display by the Lyme Regis Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat Spirit of Loch Fyne and the neighbouring Shannon class all-weather lifeboat R and J Welburn based at Exmouth, the ever-popular bathtub race and belly dancing by Eastern Promise.
Lifeboat supporters chairman Ken Lavery said: 'Over the years we have broken many fundraising records for our charity and, weather permitting, we hope this year will be no exception, and, of course we hope everyone will join in the fun.'
Full details of all the week's events are in the lifeboat week programme now available at the RNLI shop on the Cobb and at outlets around the town.
