Haydn Miller launch

Lifeboats News Release

The Haydn Miller was requested to launch just before 5pm on Friday 21st June, after the coastguard received a call from a vessel that had suffered a fouled propellor at Sandy Haven, in the Milford Haven waterway.

Normally a job for Angle Lifeboat RNLI, but they were already on another shout, so the volunteer Tenby crew made best speed towards Sandy Haven, 25 miles from Tenby.

As the lifeboat was passing Old Castle Head, the coastguard confirmed that Angle lifeboat had completed their tasking and were now able to assist the boat with the fouled prop.

The Haydn Miller was stood down to return to station.

As they were passing Caldey Island, the Coastguard requested the lifeboat to investigate, after reports that several tourists were stranded there after missing the last boat earlier in the day.

After collecting the tourists from the jetty, the lifeboat arrived back at station at 6pm.
