Young volunteer raises more than £600 for the RNLI
George Clark has been making waves with his impressive fundraising efforts.
The Reindeer Run Challenge provides an opportunity for participants to stay active while fundraising and involves running or walking 24 miles throughout December - one mile for each hour that RNLI volunteers are on call on Christmas Day.
Additionally, George organised a collection at the end of the Capelles Junior School Christmas concert, raising an additional £285.26. In total, George has raised an impressive total of £621.26.
George said: 'I love raising money for St Peter Port RNLI as they are there 24/7 to protect all sea goers should they require assistance. They are ready to go to sea to protect others day and night in storms or light, and are always there to help us.'
George is now a fully signed-up young volunteer, and you will see him at our next flag day, which is being held in St Peter Port and St Sampson's on Saturday 21 July.
You don't have to go to sea to be part of the crew that saves lives at sea. If you are interested in getting involved, please get in touch. We always need volunteers to assist with flag days, work in the RNLI shop, and support with our fundraising events.
