The event features a performance from the Concert Band of Royal Britannia Naval College.

Peter Thorp, Chair of the Torbay Lifeboat fundraisers said:

‘Our 200th anniversary year sees the return of this very popular event in the Mulberry Walled Garden at Berry Head Hotel.  Once again, the Concert Band from the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth and local Soprano Donna-Marie Broomfield will provide the musical entertainment, whilst we relax in the spectacular surroundings with a nice glass of something and food from the BBQ.  In the case of inclement weather, we will be in the shelter of the Mulberry Room.’

In 2024, the RNLI marks its 200th anniversary, commemorating and celebrating two centuries of saving lives at sea.

Torbay’s RNLI volunteer crews have played a huge role across the 200 years, and as of December 2023 have saved a remarkable 1,333 lives since they were founded in 1866.

Everything the charity has achieved has only been possible thanks to ordinary people doing extraordinary things, from our volunteers who selflessly give their time, to the incredible generosity of our supporters who fund our lifesaving work.

Tickets to the event are £25 per person which must be purchased in advance.

Tickets are now available only via the on-line ticket office.  There is, as usual a small booking fee (£1.45p per ticket).  To book follow the link www.bit.ly/TLFProms2024 or visit the Torbay RNLI Facebook page.
