It is a day which many Christian churches set aside to remember and pray for seafarers and their families and give thanks for their lives and work.

The local community came to look at the exhibitions on display, especially the hand knitted display depicting wildlife in the sea and the river. This is still outside the church for all to see. People also bought the wares on sale from the various stalls to help fundraise for the RNLI and St Johns church.

The RNLI Fundraising Team was there to offer help and advice on how to stay safe whilst on the water.

It was a great gathering with the local community to celebrate Sea Sunday.
