RNLI Clacton launch in search for missing person

The crew launched their D-Class ILB (In-Shore Lifeboat) ‘Damar’s Pride’ into slight sea conditions and were tasked with a search from the boathouse location to Colne Point. This search did not locate the casualty; so the crew were additionally tasked with a shoreline search back to the Clacton area.

Whilst executing this search and arriving at Lion Point location, the coast guard informed the crew that the missing person has been located ashore and the team were stood down. Local Essex Police officers had located the casualty via their mobile phone.

The crew returned to the lifeboat station where the ILB was recovered, cleaned, refuelled and back on service by 5.10am.
