Santa comes to visit Clogherhead RNLI

Lifeboats News Release

Sunday was a truly special day for Clogherhead RNLI as Santa came to visit.

Arriving in style aboard the station's all-weather lifeboat, Santa was safely brought ashore by Clogherhead RNLI's shore crew assisted by Clogherhead Coast Guard.

Excitement filled the air as families gathered in long queues eager to share a moment with Santa. He took the time to meet every child, carefully listening to their Christmas wishes and even collecting a few last minute letters to bring back to his North Pole workshop.

The day was made more magical by Oriel Sounds, a local group of musicians and singers who filled the air with beautiful Christmas music and carols, bringing joy to everyone who attended.

The station team extend their thanks to Santa, the volunteer crew members, and everyone who helped make the day so memorable for so many families. It was a day filled with smiles, joy, and Christmas magic.

Santa would like to remind everyone heading to the coast over the festive break to wrap up warmly and to check the weather forecast - including local tide times to avoid potential strandings during this season of changing weather. If you do get into difficulty remember to call 999 or 112 for help. Stay safe and enjoy the holidays.
