On 22 June, the RNLI hosted thier North Wales Bicentenary Celebration at The Quay Hotel & Spa in Deganwy to celebrate the RNLI in its 200th year.

The event brought together local businesses, supporters, and volunteers to honour the RNLI's legacy. Attendees were treated to a three-course meal, a raffle, and an auction, along with music and entertainment by the remarkable AJ Kay.

A highlight of the evening was a speech by Vince Jones, RNLI Coxswain from Moelfre Lifeboat Station, who shared his personal experiences and insights about the organisation.

The celebration was a resounding success, raising an impressive £3,500 for the charity.

Luke Heritage, Mechanic and Deputy Lifeboat Press Officer said:

'We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, as well as those who played a role in organising and executing the event, including the dedicated staff at The Quay Hotel.

'This was a brilliant night had by all in a very special year for our lifesaving charity.'
