Navigating swiftly across the bay in slight conditions, the lifeboat arrived on the scene promptly. Upon reaching the location, the volunteer crew learned that the child had managed to successfully reach the shore.

One crew member went onto the beach to speak with the first informant, ensuring the right individual had been identified and confirming that no medical assistance was needed. Llandudno Coastguard Rescue Team were also present and conducted similar checks.

It was verified that the child was safe and unharmed, leading to the lifeboat being stood down by 1pm, at which point it returned to the the station.

This callout marked a significant milestone for newly appointed Helm Steve Tustin. Having been with Conwy Lifeboat Station since 2016 and gaining valuable experience as a helm, Steve recently joined the Llandudno crew while continuing his contributions to Conwy's crew.

After his enrolment and successful completion of local assessments a few weeks prior, this was his inaugural opportunity to lead the boat in his new role at Llandudno Lifeboat Station.
