Fowey RNLI lifeboat crew secure boat adrift in Fowey Harbour
On 19 August at 10.45pm Fowey lifeboat station received a request from Falmouth coastguard to launch the all-weather lifeboat to locate a 50' motor boat in Fowey Harbour with no-one on board.
The yacht had broken its mooring and was adrift and hitting other boats moored in the harbour. Due to the time of night and the fact there were a lot of boats moored in the harbour for Fowey regatta week, a decision was made to launch the lifeboat and recover the boat and moor it up safely. Fowey lifeboat crew located the drifting vessel and towed it to safety.
