Inshore lifeboat tasked to three paddleboarders in difficulties
The UK Coastguard contacted Swanage's launch authority to request that the inshore lifeboat launch to assist 3 paddleboarders in difficulties off Peveril Point.
The three people were taken aboard the lifeboat and taken back to Swanage Beach where they were met by the volunteers from Swanage Coastguard.
With the casualties safely ashore the lifeboat returned to the station.
The RNLI advises to always wear a buoyancy aid when out of the water, inform someone on land where you are going and when you intend to return, and always take a phone in a waterproof pouch, or some method of communication with you, just in case you fall into difficulty and need help.
