Trearddur Bay Sailing Club ball raises more than £2,600 for the RNLI
On Saturday, some of the Trearddur Bay RNLI lifeboat volunteers swapped their dry suits for dinner jackets at the Trearddur Bay Sailing Club ball.
The sailing club placed a QR code on their menu to donate directly through JustGiving to the RNLI and more than £2,600 was raised in under 24 hours.
As a gesture of the station’s appreciation, Lifeboat Operations Manager Paul Moffett presented an ensign for the Sailing Club Clubhouse to Commodore Matthew Davies.
Paul Moffett said: ‘A wonderful night was had by all. The set up and catering was incredible and the hospitality and kindness shown by members of the sailing club was second to none.
‘Thank you to the sailing club for their clever fundraising idea that helped bring in more than £2,600 for the RNLI. The funds will help us in our mission to save lives at sea.’
