Amble RNLI’s annual Lifeboat Day

Lifeboats News Release

It is nearly the time of year again when Amble lifeboat station hosts its annual Lifeboat Day - a fun favourite with families from near and far. The event will take place on Sunday 18 August 2024 from 10am until 3pm.

Amble RNLI Lifeboat Day

This year is extra special as the charity marks 200 years of lifesaving. Everyone hopes you will join the team at Amble in remembering the remarkable history and celebrate the modern lifesaving service that operates today.

As part of the day, there will be an exciting event: a flotilla including yachts. Furthermore, depending on operational needs, lifeboats from Blyth, Newbiggin and Tynemouth will also be joining Amble’s lifeboats in the flotilla.

There will also be refreshments, Amble RNLI’s famous homemade bake sale, stalls, entertainment and much more!

This Fundraising day is a key event as it can provide essential funds to ensure that Amble RNLI can continue to save lives at sea. The team is hoping that ‘you will put the date in your diary and join the volunteers along with Tyne Tees own weather presenter, Ross Hutchinson who is opening the event.'
