It is also important to be aware that our fantastic Largs RNLI Fundraising Group are also celebrating turning 60.

When the lifeboat arrived in Largs in 1964 it was decided to set up the RNLI Largs Ladies Guild to start fundraising towards the upkeep of the boat.

The Guild continued until 2000 when it was decided to accept men into the Guild – away ahead of their time – and the name was changed to RNLI Largs Fundraising Group.

As a charity the RNLI relies on fundraising to allow us to continue to save lives at sea. We simply could not do what we do without the RNLI Largs Fundraising Group.

Together we are One Crew.
