Caravanners pitch up with donation for Hunstanton RNLI
A caravan club pitched up on 4 August with a £400 donation for a Norfolk lifeboat station.
The group were on their 15th visit to the seaside town. And as they have each year, they came to its lifeboat station before heading home, with a donation towards its work.
Rally Marshall Claire Green said members had raised £403.02 whilst enjoying everything from Prosecco and bowls, to a hog roast and water-fight on the field.
Members of the lifeboat team had also called in to give a talk about the station's history and their work.
Claire presented the cheque to Launch Authority Jeff Lenton, after he gave them a tour of the ops room.
'You never know who's going to need them and it's such a fantastic charity, with people giving up their time,' she said.
'They don't get government funding but it's been going 200 years now, which is quite an achievement.'
Jeff said: 'Thanks for coming to see us again, it's really appreciated.
'If it wasn't for people like you, we couldn't exist.'
