On Thursday 7th September, a crew under the command of Deputy Coxswain/Mechanic Les Jones brought the relief Shannon class lifeboat John Metters (Operational Number 13-26) from Pwllheli to Llandudno where she was beached. Llandudno's station lifeboat, William F Yates (Operational Number 13-18) then launched under the command of Deputy Coxswain Dave Davis for the short passage to Conwy Marina.

John Metters was then recovered to the station's Shannon Launch and Recovery System and rehoused. In a few days' time, William F Yates will be taken to Fleetwood for planned routine maintenance work and minor repairs.
