Launching Beaumaris Atlantic 85 Lifeboat

The Beaumaris Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat Annette Mary Liddington with her volunteer crew launched at 8.04 pm and proceeded to the vessel.

The Bangor Mobile Coastguard team was also tasked to assist with the incident.

Upon arrival at the anchored vessel and having ensured that all was well with the two occupants, an assessment was made by the helmsman as to the best course of action. It was decided to tow the craft to the nearest suitable safe location this being Victoria dock at Caernarfon.

The Mobile coastguard team assisted with docking the vessel in Caernarfon after which the lifeboat was released to return to her station arriving back at Beaumaris, at 9.15 pm to be refuelled and cleaned, once this had been completed the crew left the station at 10.00pm.

A RNLI spokesperson said, ‘We strongly advise that all persons aboard any craft at sea wear an appropriate lifejacket at all times whilst afloat’.
