Annual Emergency Services Day comes to Calshot
On 28 May, Calshot Activities Centre will be hosting the annual Emergency Services Day, bringing together the Police, Fire & Ambulance services, along with Calshot RNLI.
Emergency Services Day is a free community engagement event, suitable for all ages, that is designed to raise awareness of the work that each of the services undertakes.
Attendees will be able to sit in a selection of lifeboats, police cars, fire engines and ambulances as well as meet the people that crew them and hear their own unique stories.
Additionally, teams from HM Coastguard, Air Ambulance, Hampshire Search & Rescue, Forestry England, Solent Rescue and the Police & Fire Preservation Vehicles will be attending.
Calshot RNLI crew member and event organiser, Andy Headley, said: ‘Connecting the vital lifesaving work that all agencies perform with the local community is hugely important and having it held at Calshot enables us to remain fully operational throughout the event.’
Emergency Services Day will take place at Calshot Activities Centre running from 10am until 4pm. Entry to the event is free.Contact Details: Lifeboat Press Officer - Justyn Leonard [email protected]
