Under the command of Coxswain Dan Atkinson RNLB Rose launched on service to go to the assistance of a 23ft angling vessel suffering from complete engine failure.

With two people on board and in a position of 3 miles south east of Coverack, RNLB Rose arrived on scene and an assessment of the best course of action was carried out. As the vessel was becalmed it was decided to attach a tow and take it back to its mooring in St Mawes.

Arriving there shortly before 5pm the vessel was safely placed on its moorings and RNLB Rose made the return journey home arriving back at the station just after 6pm.
