Starting at Berwick-upon-Tweed, Lewis took his mountain bike and cycled all the way to the border town of Duns.

The distance Lewis cycled there and back was 36.71 miles in 7.18 hours.

Lewis said: 'I just took my time as some of the roads are quite busy with traffic and enjoyed the ride, I love cycling and thought why not do it as a sponsored cycle.

'I would like to say a huge 'thank you' to all the people who sponsored me.

'The monies raised in total, now that I have collected it all in, is £211.50. This money will be used to help keep our RNLI lifeboats afloat 24 hours a day, 7-days- a-week, 365 days a year. Thank you once again everyone who sponsored me.'

RNLI Lifeboat Operations Manager, Kevin Knox said: 'A huge 'thank you' goes to Lewis Bruin for completing his sponsored bike run to Duns and back. We gratefully appreciate the money Lewis has raised to go towards keeping our lifeboats afloat.'
