The Atlantic was soon on scene, and found that the windsurfer had self recovered and was safely ashore. Volunteers from Poole Coastguard Rescue Team and Southbourne Coastguard were also tasked.

As all was safe and well, the lifeboat returned to station and was ready for service by 2.30pm
This was the 137th launch for the volunteer crew at Poole Lifeboat Station so far this year.
