
Exmouth RNLI Service of Nine Lessons & Carols 2022
After a three year break due to the Covid pandemic, Exmouth RNLI are pleased to announce their Carol Service 2022.
Exmouth RNLI will be holding their 2022 Carol Service at :
Holy Trinity Church, Rolle Street, Exmouth
4pm on Saturday 10 December 2022
The service of Nine Lessons and Carols will be conducted by the Exmouth RNLI Lifeboat Chaplain, Rev. Steve Jones, and will feature festive songs by Tess and the d’Urbervilles, conducted by leader Tess Read.
Refreshments will be available after the service in the Church Hall and there will be a retiring collection in aid of Exmouth RNLI.
Des White, Chair of the Fundraising Team at Exmouth RNLI, said “We’re very pleased and excited that we can once again present our annual service of Nine Lessons and Carols after such a long break. This traditional event is open to all and we look forward to a wonderful festive occasion and our retiring collection will support our local lifesaving charity. I’m especially grateful to Tesco, Salterton Road and Budgens in Queens Drive, Exmouth for providing the refreshments.”
Key facts about the RNLI
The RNLI charity saves lives at sea. Its volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts. The RNLI operates 238 lifeboat stations in the UK and Ireland and more than 240 lifeguard units on beaches around the UK and Channel Islands. The RNLI is independent of Coastguard and government and depends on voluntary donations and legacies to maintain its rescue service. Since the RNLI was founded in 1824, its lifeboat crews and lifeguards have saved over 146,000 lives.
