RNLI Porthdinllaen Family Fun Run
Porthdinllaen RNLI Fundraising Team will be hosting their popular annual 5km Family Fun Run in aid of RNLI Porthdinllaen on Sunday 24th July 2022.
The event is open to everyone, runners and walkers, toddlers and dog walkers alike, with a 5km and 2km option available. Both routes start at the Lifeboat shop next to Nefyn Golf Club, and finish at the same place, outside the Ty Coch pub, on Porthdinllaen beach.
As this is a fun run not a race, all entrants will be winners and each participant will receive a medal on completion of either route on the day of the event. Fancy dress is optional and the best costume will receive a prize as the best fancy dress. With the route being run over the beach and trails, participants are advised to wear suitable walking / running attire. Sponsorship is also optional but would benefit the RNLI greatly, with sponsorship forms available for the event, details below.
Water stations will be placed at various points along the route and the finish line, with the Nefyn Golf Club, and National Trust providing a discounted parking for £4 for each vehicle in their nearby car parks.
Cost to enter the event will be £10 per adult and £5 per child. To register online for the event, please go to https://rnli.org/find-my-nearest/events/2022/july/porthdinllaen-family-fun-run and follow the links to a secure site.
Registration is also available on the day from 09:30 to 11:00 at the Nefyn & District Golf Clubhouse, but we do advise due to the high volume expected and to speed up the registration process, that those able to, to register online. All race entrants will need to check in (even if they have already registered online) at Nefyn Golf Clubhouse between 09:30 and 11:00. Anyone 10 or under in age will need confirmation to take part and accompanied, by a parent or guardian on the event.
