RNLI Clacton launch Reindeer Run at Air show
During one of Clacton’s prestigious events, the annual Air show, volunteers from Clacton lifeboat station launched an exciting and fun ‘Reindeer Run’ event, due to take place on Sunday 20th November 2022. So, grab your antlers. Lace up those hooves. Be a lifesaver.
The event which aims to raise vital funds for RNLI Clacton consists of two ‘races’ – a 10km run along Clacton’s seafront promenade to Holland Haven and back, and a slightly more relaxed ‘Santa’s Saunter’ at 2km for families who just want to enjoy the fresh air and lovely surroundings.
Spokesperson for RNLI Clacton, Mark Walsham said ‘Every time our RNLI crew launches, they are determined to save everyone. But they can’t do that without you. The Reindeer Run is a fun, festive way to get active and be a lifesaver. Because you’ll be raising the vital funds that power our people - and this year it’s easier than ever to get involved.
Anyone can come along and join in the fun, be it those from the vibrant running scene in Clacton to families and friends of the RNLI who just want to take a stroll along our beautiful coastline.
