Charity Golf Day raises over £9,000 for Thanet RNLI

A Charity Golf Day held at Westgate & Birchington Golf Club has raised a very welcome £9,837.98 for the RNLI.

The event was organised by DL Utilities Ltd and on the day 116 golfers took part whereby every hole on the course was generously sponsored by local businesses. Richard Leitch of DL Utilities handed over the proceeds from the day to the RNLI’s Thanet Fundraising Group Leader Sarah Hewes at the Westgate & Birchington Golf Club.

Sarah Hewes, Thanet RNLI Fundraising Group Leader said: ‘An amazing £9,837.98 was raised and will hugely assist us in the task of saving lives at sea and is much appreciated by all of us at the RNLI.
