The teams scooped up three industry awards, praising their water safety content, including Most Innovative or Creative Use of Content from The Drum Awards 2021, the Silver Award for Script at the EVCOM 2021 London Live and Film Awards and the Silver Award for Fundraising (Non-Profit) at the Cannes Corporate Media and TV awards.

The series of Water Safety Decision Making videos includes testimony from RNLI rescuee Evan Crisp who was caught in a rip current, advice from RNLI lifeguards and volunteer crew members.

The series of videos were intended to help educators bring water safety into the classroom and feel supported in doing so. Shot from the point of view of a child at various ages, the series of videos asks viewers to pause, think and assess the situation before taking action when near the water.

RNLI National Water Safety Education Partner, Sam Johnson, said: ‘Our water safety education work is vital in helping families and children enjoy the water safely. We are absolutely delighted to receive these awards after months of hard work and dedication.

‘It’s been a real honour to partner with Hopscotch Consulting and Inspired Films and the results are truly incredible.’

In the UK, drowning is the third most common form of accidental death in children. The RNLI’s water safety education is vital in helping to combat tragic incidents in the water.
