Santa makes special delivery to RNLI Torbay
A laptop wrapped in tinsel and a special festive sleigh were in evidence today, Tuesday 22 December, for the launch of a new website designed by volunteers for RNLI Torbay.
RNLI Torbay is one of the UK's busiest lifeboat stations and in a normal year attends over 100 shouts. So far in 2020, despite there being no shouts in April during the first COVID lockdown, RNLI Torbay's crew have been paged 93 times (as of 22 December).
RNLI Torbay depends on the efforts of over 50 volunteers, many of whom work tirelessly behind the scenes to make the station tick. The website was designed and will be maintained by Derek and Julie Hore who live in Marldon and are enthusiastic supporters of RNLI Torbay.
