Daniel Craig supports RNLI’s lifesaving mission

Lifeboats News Release

James Bond star Daniel Craig is once again showing his support for the lifesavers of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

The actor has swapped the tuxedo to don an RNLI T-shirt which is now being put up for auction on the RNLI’s eBay site with all proceeds going to the charity. Daniel has been a lifelong supporter of the RNLI, with his previous involvement including supporting a station campaign at Hoylake near where he grew up, and going afloat with the crew at Ramsgate.

The charity, which provides a lifeboat and lifeguard search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland, mainly made up of volunteers, is busier than it has ever been so the proceeds from this auction will help meet the growing demand on the RNLI to continue saving lives at sea.

Whether it’s to people struggling in the water, vessels in difficulty or walkers cut off by the tide, the RNLI’s volunteers may sometimes be shaken but they will never be stirred in helping those in need, no matter what the conditions.

Daniel Craig, said:

‘I am honoured and immensely proud to support the RNLI’

RNLI Fundraising Director, Jayne George, said:

‘We are really grateful to have Daniel’s continued support, the money raised from the auction will make a huge difference. At a time when more people than ever before need the RNLI’s help, we need more money to keep providing our lifesaving service

‘The donations we receive help us invest in vital training and equipment as well education to help prevent people getting in trouble.’

The auction is live on the RNLI’s eBay website until Monday 2 December at 8pm, you can place a bid here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=113988059536&_sacat=0
